Jaguar has introduced the new R-Sport brand on its XF model.
The upgrade includes "bespoke R-Sport branding, front bumper, rear spoiler and optional Black Pack" which Jaguar says gives the XF a more assertive road presence.
"While the company's performance models have long been marketed under the "R" banner, Jaguar's new R-Sport badge extends the brand's performance DNA - a first in the XF range," Jaguar said in a statement on Wednesday.
Janico Dannhauser, Brand Manager at Jaguar Land Rover South Africa, said "we wanted to give our customers an XF model that strikes the right balance between superb comfort and sport."
"The XF R-Sport does just that. Our 3.0-litre V6 supercharged engine delivers thrilling performance, yet returns excellent fuel economy. And visually, the R-Sport sets itself apart with a number of tasteful cosmetic upgrades," he said.
Dannhauser said the R-Sport "boasts a number of exterior cosmetic upgrades" which "include a rear decklid spoiler, a sport bumper, and R-style side sills. Rounding off the sportier exterior are a set of 18-inch Lyra wheels."
"Buyers can also specify the XF R-Sport with the optional Black Pack, which includes gloss black surrounds for the windows and bootlid finisher, along with a black grille set inside a black chrome surround, for an even sportier look." he said.
Power output is 250kw with 450Nm of torque.
Pricing starts at R777 430
