Expelled Cosatu general-secretary, Zwelinzima Vavi, will be addressing a workers general meeting in Nelson Mandela Bay.
He will be joined by Numsa general-secretary, Irvin Jim, at Nangoza Jebe Hall in New Brighton at 5 o clock on Monday afternoon, where they're expected to discuss the crisis in Cosatu and look at an alternative option to Cosatu for the country's working class.
Vavi, who was expelled by Cosatu recently, has claimed that his expulsion was irregular and that he remains the trade union federation's legitimate general secretary.
He's also been addressing members of nine unions who've supported him and advised them to ask their members whether they should fight for the survival of Cosatu or for the birth of a new trade union federation.
