President Jacob Zuma has promised to respond fully to Public Protector Thuli Madonsela's Nkandla report.
He says the debate into upgrades at his homestead have done nothing to taint the ANC's image ahead of Wednesday's elections.
The president is adamant that he did not use public funds to build his home and will take legal action if need be to clear his name.
He was speaking at a briefing in Johannesburg earlier on Monday where he was engaged in a robust discussion with the media.
"There were issues that had called for security, particularly in my homestead. My homestead was burned twice during violence and secondly my wife was raped by criminals, during the time I was still the MEC" he said.
