Police have identified the motor cyclist killed in an accident on the corner of Whitey and Cape Roads in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday night.
He was 25 year-old Marcus Erasmus of Lorraine.
Police Captain Stanley Jarvis says the two occupants of the car involved in the accident are in a serious condition in hospital, with multiple fractures, cuts and abrasions.
They are a Mrs D Kane and an elderly gentlemen.
Jarvis says police spent more than two hours at the crash scene, near the intersection with William Moffett Drive, gathering evidence after the accident.
A culpable homicide docket has been opened, but Jarvis says other charges, including reckless driving, could be opened in due course.
