A 21- year- old man was tied up by two men who robbed his house in Sunridge Park, Port Elizabeth, on Tuesday morning.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu said that around 11am the complainant went to investigate when he heard noises coming from the back of the house.
According to Colonel Naidu the victim armed himself with a knife and as he pushed open the sliding door he was accosted by two unknown men.
They bound his hands and feet with electrical cord and dragged him into the bedroom before ransacking the house.
Colonel Naidu said the suspects stole a TV, jewelry, laptops and other expensive household items.
They exited through the front door and fled in a waiting vehicle.
The young victim managed to untie himself and alert his neighbours and the alarm company.
Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
