A 10-year-old girl was killed in an accident in Mossel Bay on Christmas Day.
Police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies says only one vehicle - a bakkie - was involved in the accident in which 11 other passengers, including the driver, were injured.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the bakkie was driving along George Road near De Bakke when the vehicle overturned.
Spies says the accident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was declared dead at the scene.
Mossel Bay police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
