Eastern Cape police are investigating the murder of a 30-year-old woman in Centane.
Butterworth police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says it is alleged that the victim was left alone at her home by her sister on Saturday, and upon her return at around 22:00 on Saturday evening, she found her the 30-year-old sister in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds to the upper body.
He says the motive behind the murder is not known.
The acting provincial police commissioner, Major-General Andries Swart condemned the murder of yet another young defenseless woman and vowed that detectives would work around the clock to trace and arrest the suspect/s.
