Gqeberha police were called to the scene of a double murder on Thursday after the bodies of a married couple were found at a house in Salt Lake.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the 28-year-old woman and 29-year-old man had both sustained multiple stab wounds.
She said they lived at the back of a house on Barend Street.
Their names have not yet been released and the circumstances surrounding the incident are now under investigation.
Naidu says two cases of murder have been opened for further investigation.
