Gqeberha police released the names of the couple who died in a double murder in Salt Lake in Gqeberha on Thursday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the victims were 29-year-old Jason Bruintjies and his 28-year-old wife Anneline.
She says it is alleged that the couple were embroiled in a physical altercation prior to their deaths and both sustained multiple stab wounds.
The Bruintjies couple lived at the back of a house in Barend Street that belonged to the male deceased's parents.
Colonel Naidu says two knives were found at the scene.
