Police in George have confirmed yet another tragedy at Voëlklip in Herolds Bay.
Spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says a red Chevrolet Spark went down the notorious cliff on Tuesday night.
He says police were called out to the scene at 5 am on Wednesday after a member of the public alerted them.
Spies says police divers will now try to access the water, depending on sea conditions, to look for the wreckage.
It is not clear how many people were in the car.
In October the cliff made national headlines when a 35-year-old mother Heidi Scheepers and her two children plunged into the water.
Police retrieved the body of Scheepers and her 2-year-old son, however, her 6-year-old daughter was never found.
In November 2015 three young men were killed when the bakkie they were travelling in also plunged down the cliff.
