Worrisome trip for Intercape passengers in EC ordeal

A passenger on an Intercape bus travelling from Durban to Cape Town died after having an asthma attack on Saturday.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli says during the journey nearing the Fish River bypass near Peddie on the N2, the driver skidded across the road.

The driver managed to bring the bus to a halt narrowly avoiding what could have been a serious accident.

Nkohli says the fact that a passenger died on the trip was just an unfortunate coincidence.
