Port Elizabeth police have opened a murder docket, after the body of a woman was found in a clearing in a bushy area of Bethelsdorp Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says there was no form of identification on the woman's body.
He says a post mortem will determine the exact cause of death.
Rheeder says police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the victim.
He says anyone who may have information to contact the Bethelsdorp police station.
