Police have launched a manhunt for five armed men who shot and killed a woman in a farm attack in Stilbaai on Monday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie said the 62-year-old Heila Killian and three other victims were having a braai on the farm, from where they also run the Gazania Nursery, when they were attacked.
He said the suspects were dressed in orange overalls and wore balaclavas.
Pojie said several shots were fired and Killian died at the scene. The attackers tied up two men and a woman before stealing an unknown number of firearms, hunting knives and cash from the house before fleeing in the farm owner's white Toyota Hilux bakkie.
He said CCTV footage showed that the suspects stopped at a garage near Heidelberg at 23:00 on Monday night.
Pojie said "the investigation is at a sensitive stage" and police are following up on all leads.
