One person has been killed in a road accident on the N6, 30 kilometres outside Queenstown, coming from Jamestown.
The Deputy Director of Provincial Traffic Charles Bramwell says a hearse was transporting a body and family of the deceased to Alice for a funeral when it swerved to avoid colliding with a truck, travelling in the opposite direction.
Bramwell says three family members were travelling with the body in the hearse which overturned, killing a female occupant.
The other two male occupants sustained slight injuries.
