East London police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a woman was killed in a head-on collision along the Breezydale road.
Provincial Traffic Department spokesperson Charles Bramwell says a woman in a Silver Daihatsu Terios collided head-on with an Isuzu truck at around 7 am on Friday.
He says the woman was driving on the wrong side of the road and it is suspected that the rising sun was in her eyes affecting her vision.
A forensic team was sent to the scene to remove the deceased from the wreckage.
Her identity is not yet known.
