Police in Gqeberha have opened up a case of culpable homicide after a 29-year-old woman was killed in an accident on Saturday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the accident happened shortly after midnight along Mount Road.
She says the 29-year-old driver of an Opel Corsa was travelling down the road when he lost control of his vehicle, hitting a boundary wall.
The victim, who was a passenger in the front seat, died on impact while two other women sustained serious injuries.
Colonel Naidu says the driver and another male passenger sustained slight injuries.
The victim has been identified as Kirsté Casling.
