A woman in her forties was kidnapped in Deal Party in Gqeberha on Friday night.
According to preliminary information released by police, the incident took place at around 6pm and members of the Hawks were at the scene.
Algoa FM News has reliably learned that the kidnapping occurred at RBM Scrap in Grahamstown Road, in Deal Party.
Eight armed suspects allegedly arrived at the scene in two separate vehicles.
The woman was forced into a vehicle and the men fled the scene.
No shots were fired.
