Police in Jeffreys Bay are investigating a case of murder after the body of a woman was found inside a vehicle on the R102 on Friday afternoon.
Police Spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkholhi says detectives found the body inside a parked Ford Bantam bakkie with a gunshot wound to the chest.
He says there was no weapon inside the vehicle and the keys were missing.
Police are withholding the name of the victim until the next of kin has been informed.
The victim's body was found in the driver's seat.
A murder case is under investigation.
Any person with information is asked to come forward.
