Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of murder after the body of a woman was found naked in the parking lot of Brighton Beach.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says security personnel were patrolling the area on Tuesday when they came across her badly beaten body at 8 am.
She says the victim sustained severe injuries to her head and stomach and her grey t-shirt and blue tracksuit pants were found laying metres away from her.
Naidu says she is believed to be between 20 and 25-years-old, is quite short in height, and has red short hair.
Police also suspect she may have been run over several times by a vehicle.
Naidu says a post mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of her death.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of those involved is urged to contact the police.
