A 37-year-old woman with a type of dwarfism will be called to the stand in the Mossel Bay regional court on Tuesday as the first witness to testify against her ex-boyfriend who allegedly raped her.
The 32-year-old suspect is accused of raping and assaulting the victim in her home in Mossel Bay in November last year.
Police say on the night of the incident the victim was at home with her new boyfriend when the suspect attacked them.
The suspect took her to a room where she was badly assaulted and allegedly raped.
Due to the nature of her injuries, the victim had to be treated in a Mossel Bay hospital for several days.
The case is on the court roll for the rest of the week.
