Community members at Willowvale in the Eastern Cape have tracked and caught an alleged rapist before handing him over to police.
Captain Jackson Manatha says Willowvale police arrested the 36-year-old man for allegedly raping a 69-year-old grandmother and her 10-year-old granddaughter.
Its alleged the suspect attacked the two victims after kicking in the door of their homestead shortly before midnight on Friday at Chamsha locality, Mahasana village, Willowvale.
The elderly woman was able to identify the suspect and he was found on Easter Sunday by community members who handed him over to Willowvale police.
He's due to appear in the Willowvale magistrate's court on Tuesday on two charges of rape.
