Eastern Cape police have arrested a 22-year old Willowvale man for the illegal possesion of firearms and ammunition.
Police Captain Jackson Manatha says police members were on patrol on Saturday afternoon, when they spotted three men walking near a tarven in town.
He says police suspected that the trio might have been in possesion of dagga and decided to search them.
Manatha says two of the suspects ran away and disappeared in bush.
He says the 22-year old, who did not run, allegedly drew a fire arm, but police managed to disarm him.
They also found a second fire arm around his waist. Both fire arms were loaded with rounds of ammunition.
The suspect will appear in court on Monday.
