Organisors of the annual Absa Kirkwood Wildsfees are all smiles after a record number of visitors past throught the turnstiles this weekend.
Wildsfees director, Jenny Honsbein, says more than 46,000 people visited the festival this year, despite the tough economic times.
The festival also created 350 temporary jobs while also generating R19m for the area with all profits invested back into community-based projects.
The wildlife auction also realised turn-over of more than R11m.
