A 24-year-old wheelchair-bound man was arrested in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday evening for his alleged involvement in a house robbery in Jacksonville.
A police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the 35-year-old complainant was watching TV at his house in Guava street when he heard the suspect, who lives opposite him, swearing and shouting at him.
She says the suspect wanted him to open his door.
Colonel Naidu says when the complainant tried to talk to his neighbour through the window, two suspects barged into his house.
They managed to steal his television set to the value of R5 000.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
His alleged accomplices are still at large.
