Large parts of the Eastern Cape have enjoyed welcome rain in the past 24 hours - and the PE Branch of the SA Weather Service says there's more to come.

Good falls were also measured in Nelson Mandela Bay's catchment areas with Kareedouw receiving 21 millimetres, Joubertina 9 .2 and Patensie 17.4.
Garth Sampson at the PE Branch of the Eastern Cape says the province is in for a wet weekend.
The PE catchment area may receive in excess of 20mm of rain during this 5 day period.
Port Elizabeth, East London and Mthatha are expected to receive around 50mm and rainfall in the Makhanda area may exceed 80mm.
Flooding is expected over areas, especially east of and including Makhanda from Sunday, due to the accumulation of rain and wet conditions.
