The Eastern Cape is putting its best foot forward weather-wise as locals and visitors across the province prepare to see in the New Year on Saturday night.
According to the SA Weather service, conditions will remain fine and warm to hot across the Eastern Cape on Saturday and Sunday - which augurs well for the traditional beach-day on New Year's Day.
Wind conditions are forecast to be the typical easterly to north easterly summer breezes, which will be light to start off with, freshening during the course of the day.
Gqeberha is looking at a maximum temperature of 25 degrees on New Year's Day with East London a touch cooler at 24.
Similar maximums are predicted for elsewhere along the coast but it is going to be a good deal warmer inland, with Oudtshoorn the hottest at 36 degrees.
Cradock will be a toasty 33 degrees on Sunday and Graaff-Reinet 32 - while maximum temperatures of 30 degrees are predicted for Komani and Kariega.
