A cold front is approaching the Eastern Cape and will start affecting the province from Wednesday evening. This cold front is associated with an upper trough which will intensify into a cut-off low off of the Wild Coast on Saturday.
Rain and showers will be experienced over the entire province for Thursday and Friday as well as for the Eastern parts of the province on Saturday. Strong to near gale force south westerly winds will be experienced along the coast from overnight tonight into tomorrow between Cape St Francis and Port St Johns.
Cold to very cold conditions will set in tomorrow (Thursday) with snowfalls expected on the southern Drakensberg.
Heavy rain is possible along the coast, east of Port St Johns from Thursday afternoon into Friday afternoon.
The public is advised to prepare for cooler conditions for Thursday and Friday and for small stock farmers to take the necessary precautions associated with wet, cold and windy conditions.

1. 17/04/2013: High veld fire danger rating is expected in the north western interior.
2. 17/04/2013: Extremely uncomfortable, humid conditions are expected along the Wild Coast and adjacent interior.
3. 18-19/04/2013: Very cold conditions are expected on the high grounds of the Eastern Cape.
4. 18/04/2013: Gale force SW'ly winds of 65km/h is expected offshore between Cape St Francis and Port St Johns.
5. 18-19/04/2013: Heavy falls are possible east of Port St Johns along the coast and adjacent interior.
