Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of theft after a water tank was stolen from the Altona Primary School in Greenbushes in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the complainant checked the school's cameras to make sure everything was still in order when she noticed the water tank was missing.
She says footage showed an unknown suspect entering the premises at about 4 am where he proceeded to but the pipes leading to the tank.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the suspect also emptied the water tank before rolling it away.

Last month then Deputy Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Khusta Jack opened a case of theft after his tanks were stolen at his office.
At the time, police said it was the first such incident reported.
