The Water supply to residents of St Francis will be interrupted for almost an entire day on Wednesday in order to install a water meter.
The Kouga Municipality issued the notice on their official Facebook page.
The interruption is necessary for the installation of a bulk water meter at the town's reservoir.
This meter will be installed in order to measure supply volumes and leakage as part of the municipality's drought intervention programme.
The reservoir would have to be emptied in order to complete the installation and will then have to be filled up again afterwards.
Work will commence at 7am and the expected completion time is 5 pm.
The municipality says it will take a while for the water supply to normalize and pressure may be low during this time.
