Police at Paterson in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of arson after two trucks were torched along the N10 with damage running into millions of rands.
Police Captain Andre' Beetge, says the incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning about 11 kilometres from Paterson on the N-10 where the drivers had pulled over to get some sleep.
He says the drivers were woken up by the sound of breaking glass and saw a group of three to five men throwing burning objects into the cabins of the trucks.
Beetge says the assailants fled and the drivers were unharmed.
The motive for the arson attack is not yet known.
