Warning signs have been erected at Voëlklip near Herolds Bay after six people died in the area during the past few months.
George municipal manager, Trevor Botha says the signs warn visitors that they are entering a dangerous area.
In the most recent incident, three young men died when their Hilux bakkie plunged off a cliff and into the sea at Voëlklip.
They were identified as 21 year old Marnic Els and 22 year old Luandro Jansen.
Both were students at the Nelson Mandela Bay University on the George campus.
The 20 year old Werner Finger, also a student from NMMU is still missing.
In more than one instance, visitors to the area, including fisherman were hit by waves when walking on rocks close to the sea.
