WANTED: Suspect who allegedly raped a child in local graveyard

Police in Gqeberha are seeking the community's assistance in tracing the suspect allegedly involved in the rape of an 11-year-old girl.

Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the child was walking in G-West in Walmer location when a man confronted her after 10 o clock on Saturday the 27th of March.

She says he then took her to the graveyard where he allegedly raped her, before fleeing with her navy blue hoodie leaving his jersey behind.

Naidu says the man is slim, tall and believed to be in his late twenties, and has short hair on the sides of his head and short dreads on top.

She says he is light in complexion and has a scar on the side of his head.
