A 24-year-old suspect wanted for attempted murder in Gelvandale, Port Elizabeth has been arrested on a bus in Aliwal North.
Spokesperson Warrant Officer Moitheri Bojabotseha says police received information that the suspect was traveling on an Eldo Bus Coach to Johannesburg and contacted the Aliwal North station for assistance.
He says a joint operation was conducted by several units who stopped the bus in town on Sunday.
The suspect was arrested and is currently being detained in the Aliwal North holding cells.
Bojabotseha says he will now be transferred to Port Elizabeth where he is expected to appear in court.
