The Gqeberha police have identified the two people who were fatally wounded at the incident that took place at a tavern in Walmer Township, Gqeberha at the weekend.
The victims have been identified as Sinovuyo Totyi (18) and Msikeleli Moli (34).
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says as investigations continue, it has been established that a fourth victim also sustained injuries however police are still trying to locate the male who refused medical treatment on the scene.
"Two of the three injured persons taken to hospital, have since been discharged while the third is still hospitalised. The injured are aged between 29-45 years old," Naidu added.
Algoa FM reported earlier that five men wearing balaclavas entered the tavern at about 23:00 and started shooting at the patrons.
