UPDATE: 20 June 2024, Dorothy Prentice was found unharmed.
Gqeberha police are searching for a woman who went missing without a trace ten days ago.
Dorothy Prentice, 41, was last seen at the premises in Cotswold where she rents a room.
Prentice watched television with a friend on 9 June at around 3 am, before both went to their bedrooms to sleep.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said her friend went looking for her in her bedroom later that morning, but Prentice was not in the room and her bed was made.
According to Janse van Rensburg, the friend had no cause to worry, because he knew Prentice had plans during that Sunday.
Two days later, her employer started to make inquiries as she did not report for work.
Prentice was officially reported missing on 15 June.
SAPS Mount Road detectives made inquiries with family and friends and searched the surrounding areas and places she frequently visited.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in tracing Prentice to contact SAPS Mount Road on 082 779 7186 Crime Stop 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
