Port Elizabeth police have identified the man killed in a gangland slaying in the city on Tuesday. Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says he was 40-year-old, Cheslyn Jaggers.
He was killed when gunmen opened fire on the car that he was in when it stopped at traffic lights in Govan Mbeki Avenue.
Two other men were wounded while a fourth passenger escaped the volley of shots.The victims were on their way to the Magistrate's Court.No arrests have been made, and police are appealing to the community for assistance in apprehending the gunmen, who fled in a Mazda Etude.
