Police in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating a case of murder after the body of a woman was found in Nooitgedacth Street in Booysens Park.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a passerby came across the body of the unknown woman just before 7 am on Monday.
She says the victim had been stabbed in the neck and face.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the murder are unknown at this stage and no arrests have yet been made.
Police are asking the community to come forward and help identify the deceased who is estimated to be in her early twenties.
