The South African Unemployment Workers Union has called upon President Jacob Zuma to give an update about his job creation strategies.
The union will meet with the president in East London on Friday.
Union chairperson Jabu Ntuli says they also want the president to intervene in a crisis regarding a tourism safety program successfully piloted by the union but never implemented.
Ntuli adds that the program was approved by then Eastern Cape premier Makhenkesi Stofile but when his term ended, the provincial government distanced itself from it.
The union believe the constant changing of leadership affects job creation.
The office of the president has confirmed his presence in the meeting on Friday.
