A high-level Ukrainian delegation will meet with Oudtshoorn mayor Gordon April on Tuesday to discuss municipal governance and service delivery issues.
The visit by the 15-member delegation, organised by the Association of Small Towns of Ukraine, will also look at aspects of waste collection, tourism and economic development.
Other study areas are the development of towns, water supply systems, local democracy development and relations between local towns, districts, provinces and national government levels.
All mayors in the Eden District will also be in attendance, as well as the local business chamber and Oudtshoorn Tourism.
The delegation also plans to visit a number of ongoing community projects within the Oudtshoorn constituency on Wednesday.
