Uitenhage police are appealing to the driver of a VW UP to come forward.
This, after a 31-year-old man was killed in a hit and run accident.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, said the incident happened in the early hours of this morning in Caledon Street.
"On Sunday, 1 April 2018 around 03:00, it is alleged that a blue Volkswagen Up that was travelling in Caledon Street, Uitenhage towards the direction of Despatch hit a pedestrian and it did not stop after the accident," he said.
"A pedestrian, Rowan De Vos, 31, from Gerald Smith in Uitenhage died at the scene".
Nkohli said police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Aretha Sam at 041 996 4500 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
