Police in Uitenhage are investigating a double murder after the bodies of two men were found on Sunday morning.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, said a person who wanted to remain anonymous alerted police to the bodies which were found lying on the side of the road about a kilometre from the Koedoeskloof Waste disposal site.
He said both victims had sustained several gunshot wounds.
Nkohli said one man was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit top, a blue golf shirt, a pair of greenish trousers and red Bronx takkies.
The second victim was wearing a black tracksuit top, a pair of navy trousers and black and lime coloured takkies.
Police are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the men or may have any other information pertinent to the case, to contact Lieutenant-Colonel George Green on 082 442 3685.
