The Department of Education's offices in Uitenhage have reportedly been closed by angry parents from Mcarthy High school.
Police warrant officer Basil Seekoei says the offices were closed on Monday.
The chairperson of the school governing body, Lourens Mostert, says department officials closed the offices in response to demands from the parents.
He says parents are upset over the teacher shortages at the school and have vowed to continue their action until there is a positive outcome for them.
