A gunman opened fire inside a tavern in Kwanobuhle in Uitenhage, killing a man and wounding three others.
Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, said that the incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning when the suspect entered a tavern in Qhoqho Street.
She said he opened fire on patrons, killing a 27-year-old man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Three other males were wounded and taken to hospital for treatment.
The shooter is still at large.
“The motive for the murder and attempted murders are not known at this stage and the case is being investigated,” Swart said.
