Uitenhage man shot and killed at point-blank range

Uitenhage police are investigating a case of murder after a 23-year old man was shot and killed at point blank range in Kamesh early on Sunday morning.

Spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli says it is alleged that Brigwin Goliath was walking in Suirkerbekkie Street at around 4am, when an unknown man fired several shots at him.

He says Goliath died at the scene.

Nkohli says it is further alleged that after the shooting, the suspect jumped into a white Volkswagen Golf that was waiting at a distance, and the vehicle drove off.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact the nearest police station.
