Knysna Executive Mayor, Eleanore Bouw-Spies says she is horrified by the death of two young girls in a fire that broke out in Concordia during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The children, aged 8 and 11 were killed in the fire which destroyed eight wood and iron structures, leaving devastation in its wake.
Bouw-Spies says an investigation into the cause of the fire has already begun.
The Knysna Municipal Disaster Team has issued food parcels and blankets to the victims, as well as the use of the Concordia Community Hall.
