A two-year-old boy was killed in an accident on the N9 between Aberdeen and Graaff Reinet early on Friday morning.
Eastern Cape provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says a family travelling in a VW Polo from the Western Cape to the Eastern Cape, tried to avoid hitting a kudu at around 3 am when the female driver lost control and the vehicle overturned.
He says the child died instantly.
Bramwell says the mother and father were taken to Midlands hospital in Graaff Reinet.
