Two women killed in Eastern Cape road accident

Police at Dutywa in the Eastern Cape are investigating a case of culpable homicide after two vehicles collided on the R408 between Dutywa and Willowvale near the Morrison Bridge on Sunday. 

Captain Jackson Manatha says two female passengers aged 24 and 47 were killed in the accident which took place at around 9am.

Three men were seriously injured in the smash and were rushed to hospital in Butterworth for emergency treatment.

The cause of the accident is not known but is under investigation by Dutywa Police detectives.
