Police in Uitenhage are investigating two cases of robbery after two trucks including an Albany bread van was set alight on the Rocklands road early on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says both vehicles were travelling on the road when they were stopped and confronted by a group of people at about 5.30 am.
They were then separately pulled out of their trucks and their cellphones and wallets were taken as well as crates of bread from the bread delivery truck.
Naidu says Uitenhage Vispol attended to the scene and was assisted by the Public Order Police (POPS) to stabilize the area soon after.
She says neither of the men sustained any injuries and no arrested have yet been made.
