Graaff-Reinet police have arrested two suspects for the alleged rape of three women in the town.
The arrests were made on Saturday by members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Asherville and Kroonvale.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bradley Rawlinson, said according to information six women were on their way home from work on Friday when they were confronted by two men armed with knives.
He said the men robbed the women of their belongings and then proceeded to rape three women, aged 25, 30 and 31.
Rawlinson said that the two suspects, aged 19 and 24, will appear in the Graaff Reinet Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
