The Gqeberha anti-gang unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two people who were kidnapped in separate incidents in Kwazakhele and Korsten.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, said in the one incident, 43-year-old, Juan Yang, was reported missing on Thursday at about 17:00.
“Her family contacted the police after being unable to reach her.
“Yang’s vehicle, a white Volkswagen Polo, was later found abandoned in Sakela Street, Kwazakhele.
“At this stage, no further details are available,” Janse Van Rensburg said.
Meanwhile, in another incident on Friday morning, 47-year-old Arshad Mahmood, was kidnapped at his business premises in Korsten.
“According to reports, five unidentified suspects arrived in a black GWM double cab vehicle and, at gunpoint, forced Mahmood into the vehicle before fleeing the scene,” Janse Van Rensburg said.
